- Actively advance the mission of AAUW (To advance gender equity for women and girls through research, education and advocacy)

- Achieve AAUW 5-Star status (We are currently a 4-Star branch.)
- Grow, engage, and actively promote member retention and recruitment. Have a monthly “Meet and Greet” on Zoom.
- Survey membership annually on program and project preference.
- Provide a monthly newsletter (July and August combined)
- Provide active and interesting Interest Groups
- Maintain an engaging and up-to-date website
- Promote and run Speech Trek
Online Branch Goals 2021-2022
Goal #1: Actively advance the mission of AAUW
- Have at least one AAUW mission-based program per quarter
- Fund-raise for the AAUW Fund, averaging at least $50/member in overall donations.
- Achieve AAUW 5-Star status
Goal #2: Grow, engage and actively promote retention of online branch membership.
- 5% membership growth (from 79 to at least 83 members) and a retention rate of 75% of new members
- Survey membership annually on program and project preferences
- Have at least 50% of members subscribe to at least one program.
- Provide monthly newsletter to keep members informed and engaged.

- Distribute business cards to our members with AAUW mission and branch web address to use for recruitment.

- Keep members engaged in AAUW’s mission through program email list participation and blog articles.
- Offer at least four branch program discussions on the program email list.
- Encourage all branch members to stay actively connected to AAUW (national/state) and to each other in the branch by subscribing to AAUW Action Alerts, subscribing to the state website blog, subscribing to the branch blog (RSS feed or email notification), and joining the Online Branch Facebook Group.

- Evaluate best options for handling dues no later than December and decide whether to continue using MPP.

Action Plan: All board members are authorized authors on the blog (as of August 2009) and program co-chairs will recruit other interested branch members in September to also write articles for the blog throughout the year. Ask each author to write at least 4 articles during the year on an AAUW-mission related topic.

- Reach out to prospective members, especially women who are not yet AAUW members.
- Promote networking amongst members (create a more searchable membership database; plan social gatherings at AAUW-CA convention; and, possible regional meetings).
- Have at least one action project relating to AAUW’s mission.
- Actively use the branch email list to introduce AAUW topics of discussion — a new topic each month.
- Explore the possibilities of offering electronic/web hosting information and support services, possibly for a fee as a branch and/or EF/LAF fundraiser.
