… TO THE AAUW CALIFORNIA ONLINE BRANCH

Saturday, February 22nd, at 2 pm

We will be combining the CA Online’s Speech Trek contest with a special guest speaker – “Penelope the Powerful Poet.” She will speak about her work leading poetry and change-making workshops, while the judges are conferring. She has spoken at the UN. She is a former CA Tech Trekker and will be creating a speech component in the upcoming Tech Trek season.

Climate change is happening.  The effects are widespread and touch upon almost all aspects of our life on this planet.

Select one area of impact and explore the effect climate change is having on women in the USA and around the world.

Tech Trek

The California Online Branch can sponsor Tech Trek campers for the virtual camp if there is no branch near an interested potential camper. Information about Tech Trek can by found by clicking HERE.

Our California Online Branch hosted a webinar presented by the California Public Policy Co-Directors entitled, “Project 2025 and How it Would Impact AAUW Public Policy Priorities” on October 22, 2024. Amy Hom, presented a brief overview of where Project 2025  came from, who the Heritage Foundation is, and what the project is broadly attempting to do. She  then addressed specific parts of the project that would impact AAUW Public Policy Priorities, such as education, Title IX, reproductive health, and gender equity. Missy Maceyko joined to help with Q&A. More than 225 people attended the webinar.
